Rugby League Round 5 Recap: The Return of NRLW Beef and the Unstoppable Lauren Brown

Okay, so NRLW is back for another round
and if there was one word to describe this round,
it would be beef. The Titans versus the chooks
was always going to be one of the biggest fixtures of the year
for me, but I was not expecting there to be this much beef.
We saw both bent and Fressard sin bin.
And then if that wasn’t enough beef for this round,
we also saw more when the Dragons took on the Sharks on Sunday.
I mean it when I say I love Rugby league.
It’s been a bit of a weird start to the season,
but as we finish up round 5,
it feels like nature is healing.
The Sharks somehow still remain undefeated as they head into round 6
where they will take on the Titans
in what could very well be the game of the season.
Speaking of the Titans,
they came back from a bad couple of weeks to put 20 past the chooks
this week, thanks to an absolute masterclass from Los Brown.
It was no Jesse Southwell,
no worries to my beloved Newcastle Knights.
And somehow the Broncos have finished this round in second place.
The Dalrymple count has gone behind closed doors
for the rest of the season,
but you would have to be an absolute fool to think that anybody
could take that title from Lauren Brown.
The way that she is playing this season,
it is truly, truly hers to lose,
right? Now.
