The Glory Days of the Mid Bucks: A Nostalgic Journey of Hope and Progress

Call me crazy, but I woke up this morning missing the mid bucks teams.
I’m talking about the own,
the future Bucks. You know,
the team with direction. But sometimes we were just bad with no hope.
there was just something so cool about watching your team on the rise,
knowing they’re gonna peak soon.
It makes some regular season games fun.
We wore these 24 and 1 shirts
when we stopped the warriors 24 game win streak.
In these years,
we were just fighting to get in the playoffs as a bottom four seat.
And when we did make it, we would take joy in the little things.
Like in 2017, Malcolm Brogdon was the rookie of the Year,
Giannis was most Improved Player of the year,
and the Bucks made the playoffs as a six seed
going against the No. 3 seeded Raptors.
They were up in this series 2 to 1.
They stole a game in Toronto and they won Game 3 by a lot.
Now clearly Toronto was the better team.
They were way more experience guys than we were at the time.
But you got a glimpse of what this team could be.
Giannis was coming into form,
you could tell the direction the team was going.
And a few years later, for the first time in my conscious lifetime,
the Bucks won a playoff series.
I want to make it clear I love this team
and I would much rather be watching this Team play basketball.
There’s just something about watching your favorite team
hit their stride.
And I don’t know if any other fan of a contender can relate,
but sometimes I just miss these days.
