to watch my two favourite soccer teams play in a double header.
This day was a fever dream.
Here I am
listening to the new Sabrina Carpenter album on my way to the stadium.
Obviously, coincidence is my new favourite song,
but it will change. I got to be on the field for warm UPS.
We’re watching the Washington Spirit,
which is my favourite team,
cause I’m a D C. Girl,
play Kansas City.
And Kansas City was currently ranked second in the league
and we were ranked third. But that changes spoiler alert.
So it was a big, big deal,
big game. We had to play them before,
and within minutes kick off, boom,
we score. Like eight minutes and we score.
I was like, oh,
my god, that’s incredible.
It’s our first chance. Like,
Kansas City definitely had a momentum,
but then five minutes later,
we scored again. We scored again.
It’s 2 0. We’re up 2 0 against the second best team in the league.
Fifteen minutes into the game
and the second half, Trinity Robinson scores right in front of me.
Right in front of me. I was like, wow,
that was really for me. And then I was like, wait,
we’re gonna win? I think.
I think we’re gonna win. Like, maybe.
But then also Kansas City scored,
and I was like, wait,
they might just come back.
But doesn’t matter, because then Liz.
Liz Santo scored another Olympian.
And the game ended with us winning.
4 1, and now we’re stuck in the league,
which is incredible. In between games,
so I have to, like,
wait a little bit, cause then after this,
Arsenal’s playing Chelsea.
In between games, I went to the Fan Fest area.
They had the WSL trophy right there.

I thought this was a cute little picture area.
And then it was time to watch Arsenal.
Arsenal’s my favourite team,
like, ever since I was a child,
like, so little.
I was so cool to see them.
I’ve never seen them before in my life in person.
It was so awesome to see Leah Williamson and, like,
there’s Katie Mccabe right there with.
Everybody’s there. I’m freaking out,
obviously. Gunner Saurus, too, was.
Was coming in with, like,
some really good dance moves.
And then the game started,
and it was just so much fun.
And Arsenal, we had a few good chances,
like I was got to watch, obviously,
right by the goals. That was awesome.
Um. But we didn’t convert any.
And then Chelsea ended up scoring in the second half,
which I was, like,
not super happy about. But you know what?
It’s okay. It’s, like,
totally okay,
because I got to watch Arsenal when it was a dream come true.
The whole thing was a dream come true
and I was so tired. I got a cobble.
