Insider Tips for a Memorable Las Vegas Vacation: Getting the Most Out of Sin City and Beyond

I had a beautiful vacation in Las Vegas, and I wanna share with you guys some of the tips that I can give to anyone who’s going there. No. 1, please step outside of the strip. This is the most important tip. So many people spend all that money on airfare and hotel and they only go to the strip. There are so many things you can do that are off the strip, even going to the Grand Canyon in the Hoover Dam. Do not limit yourself to that one street. Fremont Street as well. Get off the strip.

Tip No. 2 is you’re going to spend a lot of money. Sure, you can go and just take a bunch of pictures in front of things and either random chain restaurants, but to have, I feel like a good experience, money will be spent. And you wanna go to the attractions, you wanna see some shows, you wanna go see some exhibits. You really want to experience all that Vegas has to offer.

Tip No. 3 is wear comfortable shoes. Do not fall into the trap of thinking that you are going to get away with wearing heels or wedges. The last thing you want to do having fun is have to stop everything because your feet and your back are killing you.

Tip No. 4, eat at restaurants that you cannot get where you’re from. Skip the chain restaurants unless you were on a budget, but try some restaurants that are exclusive to that area. Make rear reservations at least 30 days in advance just to be safe. Check the dress code of the restaurants and check out the menu beforehand so you can kind of get an idea of what you want to eat.

This next tip is super important. There’s a saying, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Absolutely not. Please do not go there. Committing any crimes are acting like a complete . Police are everywhere. And if somebody is recording or if you’re recording and you post something, that might be an appropriate, a digital footprint is forever. Getting arrested and having that on your record is forever. Do not go there doing anything that turn to ruin your life. My next tip is be very mindful and intentional with the souvenirs that you buy.

That I purchased was from the Hallua Pie tribe that was there here at the Grand Canyon. Actually buy something that’s meaningful and worth your money. Please drink plenty of water.

Las Vegas, surrounding areas. You’re in the desert. You can overheat. You can make yourself sick. Please stay hydrated. And I’m not talking about with alcohol. Drink water so that you don’t wind up passing out or getting sick from heat exhaustion. Please do not get inebriated. You want to actually enjoy your trip and not make mistakes. If you’re drunk and you’re gambling, that puts you at risk of losing everything. And you wanna enjoy your trip and actually remember it. So please drink responsibly. And as I stated before, police are everywhere, ready and willing to lock you up for disturbing the peace.

Yes, Las Vegas is crazy, but it’s more so organized craziness. Stay sober or limit your alcohol intake. Next tip is to carry at least $100 in cash and small bills for tipping or any businesses that might not take card or have Apple Pay. Most of the businesses do take cash, but you never know. Last thing you wanna have to do is scramble to find an ATM and pay the ridiculous ATM fees. Lastly, you could totally just fly by the seat of your pants and do things as they come up, but you’ll get more out of your experience if you just somewhat make an itinerary of things that you wanna see and the times that you would like to see them, so you can get the most out of the city and the surrounding areas as well. And do not forget to have fun.
