Exploring Japanese Snacks in the UK: A Rhymes Rates Adventure

Hello friends. We are back for another edition of Rhymes Rates.
Now let me tell you, we have some making up to do
because I went on this morning here in the UK the other morning
and I might have gotten really nauseous for a couple of hours
after all that they fed me.
We had a Scotch egg, we had some kind of weird beef broth. What.
What else? And some pork rinds.
We had pork scratchings. Anyway,
all of the mix of that made me incredibly nauseous.
So we’re gonna try to redeem the U K.
But it’s actually we found a Japanese store here in the U K.
My friend Hannah went into it and she brought some snacks.
So we’re gonna see.
Well, you hoping I like them?
Okay, so what are we starting with?
That worked. Oh,
so where you got some Kitkat?
But they’re matcha, I believe.
Matcha, Kitkat.
We’re gonna start here. Here we go. Hand.
You didn’t have that on this moment,
did you? No.
Why did you open it? I didn’t have hand.
Hold on.
Alright.
Hmm. Oh my God.
See, that’s good.
Okay, if you like matcha,
you would love these cause it tastes like a Kit Kat, obviously,
but with the wrapped in matcha.
And it’s like just sweet enough.
Like not too sweet. I’m gonna give these a 9.
That might be one of the highest ratings we’ve had on rhymes rate.
I like this. We need to Go to Japan for snacks.
Okay, we got.
What do we have now? Uh. Oh, hold on.
Now you’re gonna break into them.
Just try it. Just try it.
I was trying to sneak attack snack.
I heard the No. 9. Try it.
Hold on a second.
Try it.
That’s pretty good. I give it an 8.
No, that’s really good.
All right. I was trying to sneak it though.
You can’t be sneaky. All right.
Strawberry mochi. Okay,
here we go. Hand.
Hold on. Oh,
these are like mushy and soft.
Ooh,
they’ve got a little filling in them.
Mmm.
Ha ha.
Mmm. Um,
I like the texture cause I like it squishy.
The inside I like. I don’t know.
It’s almost there, but not completely,
but I don’t hate it. I’d give this a five.
You wanna try it?
Dude? After you licked it.
Yeah, you.
I mean, we share germs.
First off, it feels like one of those little squishy toys.
It does. You know what I mean?
That you can get out of a vending machine.
Oh, this is terrible.
It’s terrible. Ha ha
ha ha. I don’t think it was that bad.
Not a five. I liked it.
Okay, well,
clearly he doesn’t agree with my 5,
but I actually don’t mind it.
Okay. And now.
Alright, we got some hot and spicy.
I’m a little afraid cause this actually could be hot and.
And spicy, so. Hand.
Hmm. Those are good. Try that.
I
I don’t mind that. You.
Can you read that?
I think it’s. This is Japanese, right?
Yeah, I,
I know Mandarin.
Alright.
I need to get a good chip.
What would you. What would you give it?
Oh, so I’m gonna give those a solid seven.
Those are good. It’s a barbecue chip.
It’s a hot and spicy barbecue chip.
Uh, I don’t find it hot or spicy.
Do you? I find it like a tiny kick.
Tiny kick, but not like super spicy.
It’s like barbecue. It is kind of barbecueish. Yeah.
A decent barbecue chip. 5 I,
I mean, I like them.
I’m gonna give them a 7. Yeah,
and they’re like. They actually taste like a good potato too,
which I do appreciate. You know, Japan.
Japan in England is kicking it up a notch.
I appreciate you. Japan. Dominicano
