Lessons from Doctor Zeb: Insights on Entitlement, Boundaries, Understanding, Intentions, and Excellence

Hey, I’m Doctor Zeb, and here are the five things I Learned last week. Number one, nothing drives delusion more than entitlement. The fact is, everything you want doesn’t belong to you. Just because you see it doesn’t mean you can have it. And just because you have a voice doesn’t mean you deserve a microphone. Number two. Access does not always mean permission. Because this is such an entitled time, there are so many people with access to you who think that access gives them the right or the permission to engage you in any way that they want to. But the best response to that? Just create a boundary. No.3. Explanations are for people with the capacity to understand. A stressed out client of mine this week had a major aha moment when she discovered that nothing zaps your energy more than explaining yourself to someone committed to misunderstanding you. Because until a person heals, everything you say will sound like offence or disrespect. No. 4. Your intentions are more important than your outcomes. This is especially true for people with a good heart, because you can’t always control how things turn out. But a good heart will help you recover from failure. So whatever you’re doing, regardless of outcome, keep your heart pure so your motives and intentions will also be pure. And number five. Never praise or support mediocrity. And this reward me because I showed up. Time that we live in, we have to Stop praising people for doing the bare minimum. Because the last time I checked, there’s nothing exceptional or outstanding about being average or like everybody else. I hope this made sense. If it did, type church in the comments with three R’s. And then remember you got two jobs. 1. Be better today than what you were yesterday. And 2, don’t forget what I told you.
