Title: The Surprising FPL Transfers: Delving into Gameweek 3 Decisions

FPL managers are buying some crazy players going into Gameweek 3. I have no idea why. Some of these being bought by hundreds of thousands of managers. First up Danny Welbeck, who’s the third most bought player coming into game Week 3. And I get it, he’s had a great start to the season, but away against Arsenal in game Week 3 makes no sense. The only way I can justify this move is it is part of a double transfer where maybe you’re downgrading someone like an Alexander Isak to Wellbeck and then using the money to upgrade another player. Otherwise, if you’re just bringing it Wellbeck as part of a free transfer, I don’t think it’s the time to do it in this came week. Christian Romero being bought by hundreds of thousands of managers completely confuses me. Yes, he has one of the highest XG of all defenders in the game, but with Newcastle and Arsenal up next, are we really expecting a clean sheet from him in those two games? Probably not, and with Van de Ven being point five million cheaper, I’d much rather go to him than the 5 million price tag of Romero. And I’m gonna be one to say it. 470,000 transfers in for Mona Mduke and it’s only Monday. We have so much of the week still to play, especially with Chelsea playing this Thursday. I think it is crazy that this many managers have bought Modric already. A hat trick of An XG of less than one doesn’t feel sustainable in future game weeks. Yes, I do think it could be a bargain at 6.6 million, but can we also see rotation at times with Felix in Kunku in Kolpaka? Absolutely a great pick, but crazy the amount of transfers that have been brought in and it’s only Monday.
