Taking on Nando’s: A TikTok User’s Customer Service Journey

Good afternoon, my TikTok friends. I hope that you are doing well and that you are having an awesome Thursday. So I just felt that seeing that I took Nando’s public and put it on TikTok, I’m also gonna give, share the feedback with you. But before we get there, I have been under attack with the comments in the comment section. A lot of people are saying if I have a problem, why bring it to the social media? Why bring it to whatever? Listen, yeah, we do things differently. This is my way of doing things and I got the desired outcome that I wanted. If you feel that letters to a specific head office would bring you more joy, continue on your journey.

Okay, I feel that my account is big enough that I can take companies on if I’m dissatisfied with the service that I receive. So if you differ from me, you can pause my post. You don’t have to watch my video. Some people are saying to me that I am just get to the point already. pause. Okay, did you hear what I said? Pause. Okay. And the last thing I don’t know, because I post in my uniform way, was it ever written that I’m not allowed to go out to my uniform, that I’m not allowed to share anything on social media in the in my uniform. Does it mean because I’m honest, I must just now keep quiet and not say anything.

It is 2024 out here. Okay, so Nanos, I’ve been trying to get hold of me for the entire week and I decided to take the calls. So the first lady from head office contacted me on Monday and she arranged. So she arranged for someone from durbanwall to contact me or to call me with regards to feedback. Devonval didn’t call another person from the hit office code and she apologized to me saying that some of the people were sent for training. It was the second complaint for this month that they received a poor service, bad attitude from the staff members. So the staff are being sent for training.

My biggest concern was also that I raised with this lady is the fact that Nandos do not provide to the staff members with the tea room. And I was not happy with the answer that she gave me. She said to me that, you know, that we do employ poorer people and some of them never had the experience of sitting and eating in a restaurant. So we would like to give our employees that opportunity. And I’m thinking to myself, okay, not the point. What I’m happy about is the fact that they saw the need for training. They are sending their people for customer service. So hopefully we’ll get a better experience. I hope it’s not only the turban will branch that will be micromanaged like this, but also the others.

What actually ticked me off or pissed me off to be exact, was the fact that she said that I should come to the Dublin Mall restaurant within the next two weeks and I will be welcomed with my family or I can even bring a few of my colleagues. And then I said to her that, thank you, but no, thank you.

I did not post to this for me to get a free meal, but I wanted you to work on your service that you are giving us. I can afford to pay for my own meals, so can my colleagues, and I can provide for my family. The aim was not for me to get a free meal from 9 just because, I mean, really, as broke as I am, as unemployed as I am now, if I want food, I buy it for myself. So that is a story with Nandos. I hope that it won’t only be in the dublenville restaurant, that they will be sending the people or the staff members for customer service training and ensuring that there’s a supervisor on site all the time when the store is open. I hope that it will also happen in other branches. And I add, I’m gonna tag Nandos in this post again to say to them, thank you so much for at least getting that right and thank you for getting back to me without me having to escalate matters and writing emails and all of that because nobody’s got time for that.

Okay, so if I’m unhappy about something, I will post it on TikTok. If you’ve got a problem with it, block me. Okay? If you tired of seeing my face, block me. Okay? I never asked anyone to follow me. I never asked anyone to watch my videos. So hold your back and .
