Darts Strategy: The Case for Double 12

A lot of people have asked me why I did this. Over to you dancing on. Which way is he going? Who’s in charge? Oh, he’s going about one double 12. What a fancy double 12 or 88. Fat one. Double 12. Shake, guys. And here are a few reasons to why. Why I done this is I go by saying, never go somewhere where you can bust. By that I mean we got 25 left. You go for a nine, but you chuck a slightly sway dart and you hit the treble nine. You’ve now scored well, a bust, and you’ve got to start again, giving the other player free darts. If you are somebody who is quite comfortable with their ability at darts, then a 25 checkout should be taken in three darts, if not, the very next visit. So again, if you go nine, yes, it is a good way of going if you do like this way, because you can go 88 if you go inside 44, inside 22, 11. But I feel comfortable on double 12. Where is eight? I don’t. So I go simply one, go for double 12. If I miss or go inside, I’ve still got the 6 and the 3. By then, hopefully I’ve wrapped up. If not, I should do on the next visit. And if I don’t, most of the time the leg should be over anyway. Going back to what I first said at the start, don’t go Somewhere where you can bust. I go for the 1 simply because if I hit the treble one, I now have 22 left and I’m straight on a double. Whereas if you go 9 and hit the treble, you are not. If your ability is not so good, you’re more likely to throw a straighter dart at the 1. Then you are an angled 9 in my opinion. But I’m not telling you going 9 88 is wrong whatsoever. If that’s how you wanna go, you can go that way. It is the better way because you’ve got a lot more doubles in a row after. But it’s just my opinion. Let me know what you think.
