Alright, let’s talk Pixel 9 Pro XL versus Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. First of all, just a moment of silence to adore both of these phones. Alright, and I gotta say, first of all, this does come down to a preference which one you would prefer. But in my use case, I’ve absolutely come to love both of them. And I wanna start things off with design. Uh, The Galaxy S24 is more of this boxier shape, but it doesn’t have completely flat sides, whereas the Pixel 9 Pro does and feels more like an iPhone than the Galaxy S24 Ultra does. Now this has a titanium build versus the aluminum frame on the Pixel 9 Pro XL. But you know, that’s fine, it doesn’t really matter for at least in my. In my opinion. Uh, S pen on the S24 Ultra. I don’t really use it at like here, I use it here and there, I don’t use it on a daily, so it’s not really an issue if it’s. If it wasn’t present. Uh, and uh, Pixel 9 Pro XL, it’s matte finish is also really nice. As well as the Galaxy S24 Ultra. And they both have their unique design. So you know that when you see this camera, it’s not really a visor anymore cause it’s not built into the frame. But when you see this camera bar like this, you know it’s a Pixel. And when you see this right here, just the individual camera Cutouts. You know, it’s a Samsung device. Displays on both of them are phenomenal. Absolutely love them. They both have the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on them. Uh, and Pixel 9 Pro XL is a little bit. It’s flat but rounded, whereas like I said, the S24 Ultra is more of a boxy look to it. Now, uh, brightness on the Pixel 9 Pro XL gets bright at 3,000 nits of peak brightness versus 26 on the S24 Ultra. But in outdoors, you. You really can’t tell too much of a difference, obviously. Hundred, 20 hertz AMOLED, all that good stuff. Now, the one thing I wish the 9 Pro XL had is the anti reflective coating display. So, as you can see right there, you can see my ceiling on the Pro XL. Uh, but you can barely see it on the Galaxy S24. Let me turn that off again. There you go. And literally, I wish this anti reflective coating display was on more devices, but unfortunately, it’s not. When we come to the software, uh, they’re both running Android 14. Seven years of software updates, which is a plus. And it comes down to the user interface. Do you want one UI on the S24 Ultra or you want the Pixel UI on the 9 Pro Excel? Uh, and I. I’ve come to love both of them. And I’ve actually come to love one UI a lot more lately. It’s been phenomenal. Buttery smooth. And pixel UI has Also been buttery smooth. A Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 on the S24 Ultra, Tensor G4 on the Pixel 9 Pro XL. Uh, paired with 16 gigs of RAM. S24 Ultra has 12 gigs of RAM. And like, like I said, day to day performance. There’s been no issues or stutters or anything on either of them in my use case. Uh, so you’ll enjoy both devices. Which. Which. Whichever one you go with in the software department, you’re going to enjoy both of it. It comes down to preference. Now, the cameras. Here’s where things get different with the cameras. Uh, I like the Pixel photos more, but if you want more variety, you want more options, you want to go with the Galaxy S24 Ultra. And the S24 Ultra has a phenomenal camera. But again, and I. I think that’s one of the key factors when choosing a smartphone. It comes down to preference. Which one would you like? If I want an all around great smartphone, I would go with S24 because great photos and great videos. I just like the videos on this 24 Ultra a little bit more than Pixel 9 Pro XL. But when it comes to photos, hands down, I feel like Pixel 9 Pro XL. If I say Pro, just know I’m talking about Pro XL. Uh, I feel like when you take photos and you use it for social media or Sunday, it’s just like point and shoot and you’re all set. To go. Whereas it’s 24 Ultra. Again, in my use case, and how I see it, yes, it’s. You can point and shoot, but I feel like I want to put in some more editing into, like, post production type of thing. But if you want that hundred x zoom, you want, uh, just more zoom in general, then you wanna go with the Galaxy S24, uh, Ultra. Now, with all this AI stuff, I’ll be honest with you, like, I don’t really use them. I’ve tried them, and that’s really it. I’ve yet to implement it into my workflow, into my daily use, and until then, I’m just kind of, like, using it here and there. So I’m not gonna. It’s not a factor for me to purchase a smartphone. There are nice features to have, but they’re not going to be deal breakers. Like, if they didn’t have AI in the phones, I wouldn’t really mind at all. Now, the battery, uh, here’s the thing. The battery life on both of them are great, uh, but there is battery charging speeds and all that stuff, and the S24 Ultra charges much faster. And that’s where I would recommend the S24 Ultra. Pixel 9 Pro XL. Supposedly it gets up to 45 Watts of charging, but just doesn’t charge as fast. It’s. It’s kind of annoying, to be honest. So that’s why I would prefer the Galaxy S24 Ultra in the battery department. And then when we look at Uh, the pricing. Pixel 9 Pro XL is priced at 1099, and then Galaxy S24 Ultra is priced at 1299. So yes, they’re both expensive phones, but that is to be expected with flagships like this. And Pixel 9 Pro XL is such a leap forward from its predecessor. Is more flagship flagship E than ever before. I think it can it will compete very well with the Galaxy S24 Ultra. So in the end, which one will I use? Well, here’s the thing. I’m still testing out the Pixel 9 Pro XL, but for right now I. I think I’m gonna go with of the Pro XL. At least for now. And by the time the end of the year comes out, I’ll be able to tell you guys which one was is the all around best smartphone in every single category. Up until now, it’s been the Galaxy S24 Ultra. But once I get my final thoughts, use like a thorough review uses for about a month. I’ll tell you guys and see if there’s an update on which one it, my opinion, is the best all around smartphone. We still got some more smartphones coming out next month or two, like the iPhone 16 Pro series as well. Uh, so yeah, we’re gonna have to see. Right now the throne is still with the Galaxy S24. All around great camera. You have more option with the camera, great battery life with decent charging speeds. Uh, really nice Build material, anti reflective coating, display. Absolutely love it. Uh, so yeah, that’s the all around for now. But that by no means, uh, is saying that this phone is bad. This phone is phenomenal. I think Pixel 9 Pro is the biggest upgrade in the Pixel series if you ask me. Well, the Pixel 5 to 6 was also a huge upgrade. I mean, from Pixel 5 to this huge upgrade. But I absolutely love the Pixel 9 Pro XL.
