Creative Solutions for Capturing Long Exposures Without a Tripod: A Photo Experiment

So a lot of days when I’m shooting photos, I don’t bring a tripod with me. And today I want to get some long exposures. So I did this crazy setup. I have my wallet under the camera, a spare battery and then on this side I have my keys. And the crazy part is this photo is actually level. So you really don’t need a tripod to take long exposures. Look at them go. I think they need that for real. However, I did set a 2 second self timer so when I press the shutter, the camera doesn’t shake and I can get a nice clean shot of the skyline. I even got this guy doing it.
