The Rise and Fall of Triple A Gaming: An Analysis of Concord and Star Wars Outlaws

So we have a lot of stinkers that are coming out right now, but Concord? After running the numbers, Concord’s launch is actually the worst launch in triple A gaming history. Eight years in development, millions of dollars into your product, six hundred people playing at launch. No, no, no. I’m gonna sound blasphemous really quick. I. I played the beta, okay? I didn’t play the full game. I refuse to spend $40. This game is not the worst thing ever made. It’s just brutally average in just about every aspect. That is the best way to describe Concord. However, this isn’t the only bad game that is coming out right now that I predict is going to have an abysmal flop. Star Wars Outlaws. The only way that this game does not lose Ubisoft an absolute shit ton of money is that they didn’t even really invest into it to begin with. And I’ll be real, Star Wars Outlaws looks cheap. It looks like the beginner, playable build of other games that is competing with. And this comes to the crux of the issue. The reason that these games are bombing horribly bad is they’re simply just not as good looking as the other games that they’re releasing by like. Okay, if you were going to buy Concord and Star Wars Outlaws, remember, the base price of Star Wars Outlaws is 70 fucking dollars. We’re not even gonna talk about the deluxe edition. I think Ubisoft should be banned. From selling deluxe editions. I’m just gonna say that. $40 for Concorde and $70 for Star Wars Outlaws. Depending on taxes, that’s around $106. Now let. Let’s take that same amount of money and let’s see what are you gonna get more bang out of your buck for. Black myth Wukong is $60. Okay? That’s how much I paid for it. I witnessed when games were $60. Keep in mind dude, this is a true current gen game and they don’t even charge $70. Star Wars Outlaws is a barely current gen and this game is 60 bucks. If you haven’t already bought it, you could buy the Elden Ring DLC for the same amount of money that you would get Concord and Star Wars Outlaws. Actually, scratch that, you would still have $10 left over. Oh, and here’s the kicker. Okay, say you didn’t want to get the DLC, okay? And you had an extra twenty bucks on top of the hundred and sixteen dollars that you would spend on getting Concord and Star Wars Outlaws. Would be able to get not only black myth Wukong, the base version, but Space Marines 2. Yeah, not it’s not that these games are borderline unplayable, they are just significantly worse than every other game that they’re releasing next to. I already hear somebody saying well how could you compare Black Myth Wukong to Star Wars Outlaws? Because I have to spend money. I’m sorry. If one company has the goal to Charge me $70 for that, and the other one has $60 for way more entertainment and quality. I am insulted that you would even attempt to sell outlaws to me for $70. In other words, these were mid games released at the worst possible time.
