Lost in Translation: The Decline of Familiar Expressions Among the Youth

I was teaching a lesson today and I used the phrase they think they all that and a bag of chips and my students just sat there and looked at me like they had no idea what I was saying I was like y’all ain’t never heard the expression all that and a bag of chips they said no I said okay maybe it’s just this class i’mma say it again in the next class said it again in the next class crickets lights was on but nobody was home I said okay maybe it’s just them two classes I got two more classes so we gonna see I will have you know that I’m oh for four none of my four classes knew the phrase all that and a bag of chips so now I feel old and I’m clearly at retirement age because how do they not know the expression all that and a bag of chips
