Guillermo del Toro’s Terrifying Encounter: A Haunting Experience in Aberdeen

Master of horror Guillermo del Toro just found himself in a real life horror movie, which he, of course, put himself in. So Del Toro is currently shooting a new adaptation of Frankenstein in Aberdeen, Scotland, and he and the crew are staying at a hotel built in the 1800s. Del Toro posted on X on August 20th that one of the movie’s producers was staying in the hotel’s most haunted room, but quote, odd electrical and physical occurrences scared her into leaving ASAP. So naturally, the director himself volunteered to move into the room. Del Toro explained that he likes to stay in notoriously haunted places, but quote, only once did I experience anything supernatural, so he had high hopes for this haunted room. Two days later, he gave this update nothing has happened yet, but the atmosphere in the room is oppressive and I am not going to spend much more time there. He then said he chose to sleep in a different room to get a good night of sleep because something is in that room with me. About 12 hours later, he tweeted that he was heading back to the room, saying the room has more than vibes, there is something angry and territorial there. He then tried using an EVP app on his phone, and on August 23rd he concluded that there were no sights or sounds, just the oppressive vibe, but he vowed to return to the room one day. He later added that a cast Member felt a similar sensation in that haunted room and that a crew member saw someone outside their window on the second floor. Quote the place is worth exploring. Sure, if you feel like being scared out of your mind. But of course, Guillermo del Toro would say that.
