Botanical Chess: A Unique UK-Inspired Set with a Coastal Color Palette

a few weeks ago I got an email from a lady in Australia and she wanted to make her a chess set but not just any chess set if you’ve seen me make them before you’ll know that I make all the chess pieces by hand so they come out a little differently each time well this lady wanted to take the one of a kind vibe to a whole new level she asked me to get creative and make something a bit different and something that represented the UK because she’d just been on a once in a lifetime trip to this part of the world I had to think about it and thought a botanical theme would be really nice with each country represented through their national flowers the rose daffodil Shamrock and thistle colour was important to her too as she wanted something reminiscent of the coastline and nature can you guess how these colours will look after firing and here they are I don’t know if you can tell from the video but I went with a graduated colour scheme with the darker pieces going from green to darker blue and for the light side a sandy speckled glaze
