Fijian Fusion: A Homemade Samosa Hack from the South Pacific

I don’t think you’ve ever tried these samosas before. Now, these are Fijian samosas. These are how Indian samosas are made in the South Pacific. My family is from the Fiji islands, and this is how I grew up eating. These samosas usually take some time, so I got a hack for you. Now, what makes this different is how we cook the potatoes. I feel that it adds more flavor. Mix in your peas and carrots and finish with cilantro. Set this aside and let this cool. So, typically, you make the dough from scratch, but here’s my hack. Use pre made paratha wraps. Cut in half and fill with the mixture. Seal the triangles, Fry until they’re golden. And that’s it. Serve with your favorite tamarind sauce. Hmm. It’s so good.
