Creating Embroidery Patterns with Free Fonts from Dafont: A Procreate Tutorial

I’m often asked about the fonts I use on my embroidery patterns and how I get them there, so I’m going to show you today how I do that with procreate. I use a website called Dafont com, and all of the fonts on here are free to download and use. Some of them are only for personal use, some of them are for commercial use for free. So you just have to check that when you’re downloading them if you plan on using them for something you’re selling. So first I download the file, and then I go into my files on my iPad and download the T T F file, and that’ll automatically open it in procreate. And all I do is find that font in procreate. And then what I do is I lower the opacity and create a layer on top that I can draw over. And the reason I do this is so I can use it in my embroidery patterns. And because I print all my designs on fabric, I want to make sure that I can cover it with my stitching easily, so that allows me to do that. But let me know if you want more procreate tutorials.
