Unveiling the Next Generation: What to Expect from Nvidia’s RTX 50 60 Graphics Cards

Get ready to start seeing the RTX 50 60 everywhere. We’re getting some firm details about the new graphics cards that Nvidia is supposed to be launching at the beginning of next year, and they’ve got a key few improvements that allow them to start going in new places. The main thing revealed is that not only are they going to have GDDR7 RAM, but that especially on the mobile side, they’re going to be more power efficient with lower total power consumption. The 50 60 is supposed to drop from 140 Watts max down to only 115, which is currently where the mid spect 40 60 mobiles run. That lower total power draw should mean that instead of stuffing 40 fifties into thin and light notebooks, a more powerful 60 class graphics card could make its way into the tiny laptops. The only bad news from this is that allegedly the fifth 50 70 mobile is getting the same treatment. while that could mean that the 50 series is incredible at performance per watt, it could also mean that Nvidia is intentionally nerfing the 70 class and below and creating a more expensive replacement to get us the same performance that we currently expect from a 40 70 class laptop. We only have to wait a few months to find out.
