Tekken lore is super fucking weird. So at Evo, they announced the next Tekken 8 DLC character is gonna be Heihachi Mishima, you know, the guy who got thrown into a volcano? At the end of Tekken 7, Heihachi Mishima is completely dead. This family does a lot of father son bonding, mostly at the edge of cliffs. Tekken 2 ended with Heihachi killing his son by dumping him into a volcano, but somehow it never sticks cause they keep coming back every King game. But Tekken gets weirder. Remember the time king had an orphanage full of live action children? Or the time Roger Jr. Got cocked by a boxing velociraptor? There’s cannibalism, time travel and bears who just want to get late. Tekken is weird, man. But what’s not weird is how grateful we are to our friends at Cash App for helping us fly to Evo where we got to see the Heihachi reveal in person.
