What was it about the firm that really attracted you? There’s a dynamic between, um, boutique banks and bulge brackets, and I think Evercore is one where it started as a boutique, independent bank. Um, which means that they don’t have a balance sheet that they use to lend. They’re just purely providing advisory services. And that, presumably, or the pitch, is that, you know, that allows them to be, um, not conflicted, very objective and have the clients kind of best interest in mind when they’re advising the right capital structure or the right terms for a deal. A lot of the boutiques that you see with that type of model are a little bit smaller in terms of headcount, in terms of scale and size, but Evercore has grown to a point where I think it’s skirting that line.
