if you’ve seen a movie in theaters over the last few months there’s a good chance you’ve been subjected to the trailer for Speak No Evil it’s a new horror movie starring James McAvoy which is actually a remake of a very solid very bleak Danish thriller of the same name from a few years ago but anyway it’s become a bit of a meme in film circles online because it just plays so incessantly in front of seemingly every movie out but we’re not speaking of the real evil out there which is the Flight Risk trailer this is generic straight to DVD garbage that somehow got a wide release and it’s vague enough that it fits with any genre it plays in front of action movies horror movies dramas my favourite part of the trailer is from the Academy Award winning director of Braveheart hmm what was that guy’s name again why might we not want to outwardly share that on our marketing materials the sooner I never have to be subjected to Mark Wahlberg’s horrific haircut the better
