I constantly put myself down, constantly put myself down. And, and so mentally in my brain all the time, it was, no, your shoulders are too big, you can need to cover that or you look too strong, you need to wear a jacket. So I was constantly in my head like this rotating all the time. The tool for me that worked heaps was self talk. And so looking in a mirror and just saying to myself, and you look good or I look beautiful today or Michaela, you look amazing. Like just constantly giving myself that, um, positive reinforcement. Automatically your body start, and your mind starts to believe in these sort of things. The mind is ridiculous when it comes to professional sport. It loves to put self doubt in your brain. It loves to put you down. And so by, by trying to fight that, but putting positiveness in my brain really helped me see myself in that positive light rather than putting on a mask and just laughing off when someone commented about my shoulders. Now I’m like, yeah, I am strong or yeah, I do have big shoulders, but I can also tackle people and I can run fast and I can do really cool things on the Rugby field, um, and in the gym. So yeah, it’s just constant self talk that helps me stay as positive as I could possibly be.
