hi everyone I am on a lovely anniversary holiday and with my husband it will be 10 years tomorrow that we’ve been together so we’ve come to this amazing beautiful and kind of lodge with the all the private lakes it’s absolutely gorgeous anyway that’s not why I’m here to tell you I’m here to tell you that I have been doing some reading and I have to tell you about this book that I just read it is absolutely brilliant and it is not something I would ever read so I have recently read well I finished it yesterday at Blind House this book by Jamie Lee Brooke so I have to admit Brooke as I know her is one of my best friends she is the most amazing supportive person I’ve ever met and I decided that I was going to I’ve read her psychological filler but I haven’t read her first book cause they’re horror I don’t do horror it’s actually on my medical records that I had to have medication after watching Paranormal Activity because I hadn’t slept for 3 days cause every time I close my eyes I saw that stupid crazy ghost woman and um yeah so I don’t do horror um one time I accidentally read a horror book I had to watch loads of children’s TV on Netflix to be able to get to sleep um so don’t do horror so I said to her that to her I’ll never read it cause I don’t do horror but she’s so supportive of me And my writing that I thought I was trying to decide what to read and I was like you know what I’m just gonna do it I’m just gonna read it and see what I think and oh my god I’m a convert like I did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did it was fantastic so from the first scene from the first chapter you’re rooting for Megan like she’s just such an amazing character like I rooted for her I related to her I was rooting for her I oh and and it’s such a unique subject as well and I read a book haunted house book by accident by Riley Sager think that’s how you say it this was better and it’s so frustrating because Riley Sager is like a massive name but Brooke’s book was better like I just loved it it was it was very scary I could only read it during the day and accidentally finished it last night and then I had to turn all the lights on in the lodge and couldn’t sleep with any lights off but it was so clever absolutely brilliantly clever like how honestly I’m so impressed it was just so good and I’m a proper convert and I can’t wait to read her second one so if you’re looking for a book where you’re gonna root for the character creepy a bit scary but absolutely fascinating and gripping and the twist in it is so cleverly done how she put to that together that is it honestly is she’s that’s her calling like I’m I’m just uh completely overwhelmed by how much I liked it and I can’t wait to read the next one um so I just wanted to share that with you because I think everyone should be reading this book and I know she’s my friend but I absolutely am not being biased in the slightest because horror is not my genre ha ha and I have no filter so I would have said if I didn’t like it but it was so good and I’m gonna try and spread the word as much as possible so you need to go read this book okay go buy this book right I’m gonna go back to my anniversary holiday now bye
