Sydney Chef Showdown: A Hectic Journey to Victory in the Kitchen Studio

I’ve gathered the best chefs around Sydney, but they couldn’t make it. So we have these guys. What my competitor was the one and only Cebu. And guys, I was actually super nervous. I was making mistakes left and right. But we only had one hour to create a dish. I’m gonna lose. Chemo is already ahead of me with the roast, but I ask. Accidentally or maybe not subconsciously hit some of his equipment, but it did not get any easier from there because the onions were now making me cry from everywhere. I also couldn’t turn on the fire and the gas was a bit too weak. So it took a while to heat up. And I was so stressed. I don’t know if you can see through the chaos in the videos, but it was pretty hectic and I was running out of time. And yeah, I didn’t tell the judge about this pod. Good thing I got that out. But your girl was still going strong. And the theme of the first round was viral foods. And I decided to use one of my dad’s viral recipes, the black bean noodles. And good thing I wore my prawn clip today, because I almost forgot about the prawn till someone complimented the clip. I managed to find some time to show good sportsmanship while spoiling the noodles. With less than 10 minutes to go. Then Tom gave me the nut of approval, and I literally had no more space left on my counter cuz I couldn’t clean. I was running out of time. I don’t even know how, but I got my fried egg. So perfect. And then finally, I topped it off with some chili powder and the time was up. My best friend was the judge for the day, but just so things aren’t bias, we invited Ben, the owner of the Kitchen Studio, to be the judge for this friend. Look, I can get a bit competitive sometimes and I saw the judges finish their own smash tacos that treble made and I was losing a bit of hope. But the judges finalized their decision and it was me. But that was an excellent battle treble. And I’ll see you guys in the grand finale.
