Project Zip Tie: The Tube Front Transformation

Surely you guys don’t actually think that just because I got a GT500 that I’m gonna neglect our boy zip tie. Bro, zip tie has been neglecting my wallet. I spent $15,000 on it this month alone. Now, here’s the current state of our boy zip tie. I know he does not look too good. And you guys are probably wondering, with these races coming up, why have I not done anything to it? There’s a couple reasons. One, because I own a shop. I gotta keep the customers happy. So as long as there’s cars need to be worked on, they get priority. Now, the second and really the main reason, I can’t do anything on this car until I have the tube front end on. No sense of slapping in a motor, a trans, and start wiring when I’ll have to rip everything out to get the engine bay painted once the tube front end goes on it. Now, the same day I cut off the front end on zip tie is the same day that I ordered the tube front kit, and I just still haven’t got it. Well, at least I hadn’t got it until today. Fresh off the UPS truck. Let’s check this thing out. The worst part is the shop that built this is in the same exact city that I bought the GT500 from. I could have saved $74 on shipping and got it a day sooner. At first glance, it’s just a Bunch of pipes. But at second glance, it’s even more pipes. Now, how all this goes together, I really have no clue, but the goal is to set some time aside at the end of the week, get this thing welded up, and then get the car off to paint. And if you guys didn’t see it, Wayne did pick up zip ties. Enter from TKM. He’ll be down this week, so, uh, it’s about to be crunch time soon. Just to sweeten the deal, when I got home, we got another package for zip tie. This is what the haltech screens gonna sit in, so it kind of looks somewhat OEM.
