Unexpected Discoveries: Unleashing the Potential of Minolta Vectis Lenses with a Sony QX1 Setup

I wasted my money on this completely pointless camera setup, but check out what it can do! This is a Sony mirrorless camera without a screen. It’s the Sony QX1 attached to it. I have a resurrected dead lens mount thanks to a Chinese company that for whatever reason made this unique adapter. This adapter allows you to electronically control the aperture and focus of Minolta Vectis lenses. Vectus is a film camera system that Minolta made in the 90s for the now defunct APS film format. There’s only one digital camera that was made for the system, and that’s a story for another day. Because of this, these lenses are super cheap and easy to find, and this adapter is the only way to use them on a digital camera, so I had to try it out. The adapter is super expensive, but thanks to you one of my videos went semi viral and I got paid enough to try it out and justify this totally pointless setup. But to my surprise, these cheap lenses are incredible. Check out the sharpness and bokeh from the 17 millimeter wide angle lens. Or even this super cheap telephoto lens.
