The introduction to the book of Hebrews is one of the most profound pieces of scripture. Long ago, at many times and in many ways, god spoke to our fathers by the prophets. But in these last days, he has spoken to us by his son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of god and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent then there’s. There is an incredible amount to unpack in this book. But as someone who was raised in the faith, left to go be an atheist, and then came back last year, I can tell you with complete certainty that I would bet my life on Christ and actually have returning to social media because I had active death threats in August of last year when I came back. Come back full circle 12 months later, those people are all tangled up in about a dozen lawsuits that have nothing to do with me. They’re gonna go to jail for a long time. Scripture is complicated, but I encourage you go seek out your own relationship with Christ. Career in technology is amazing, but this life goes By quick. Here today, gone tomorrow.
