The N Vision 74 is going into production according to multiple reports today. Hyundai Motor Group discussed the N Vision 74 as being a future high performance EV offering during their investor day presentation. Now, when the car was first revealed back in, I believe it was 2022, it got quite a positive response. However, as a concept, it was rear wheel drive and powered by a hybrid setup that included a hydrogen fuel cell and electric motors. There’s now a bit of speculation as to whether or not the production version of the car will come with the hydrogen components. Brian Silvestro of motor 1 said quote, there’s no word on power train or performance specs for the production bound N Vision 74, meaning it’s anyone’s guess as to whether Hyundai will keep the concept’s 671 horsepower hydrogen fuel cell or adopt a fully electric drive train. Considering the lack of mass adoption for hydrogen power, we’d bet on the latter. End quote. And I would have to agree with him. If you think finding an EV charger is a task, or at least one that even works, go try and find yourself a hydrogen fill station. In fact, finding hydrogen is so difficult that Toyota Marai owners are suing Toyota for it. At any rate, I’m sure we’ll get more information on the N74 concept over the next few months. But whatever they choose to power the car with, as long as it looks like the concept, I’m Sure, it’ll be a hit
