The Man Who Can’t Be Moved: A Song Inspired by Forrest Gump and a Journey of Resilience

Hey, this is Danny from the scripts. And did you know that our song The Man Who Can’t Be Moved was initially inspired by Forest Gump? So myself and Mark had recently watched Forest Gump, and we were working on the album. And The Man Who Can’t Be Moved was one of the last songs to come onto the album. And we sat around just thinking about the story of this guy in a really simple time where there’s no social media, you know, you can’t find that person online. So what would Forrest Gump do in that situation? He would just go to the corner where he, you know, met Jenny. He just sit and he would wait. So we just imagine that story. So I was going through a bad breakup at the time, and I. I really wanted to do something huge. And that was the idea, was to. To write this song. And in the middle eight it says, maybe I’ll get famous as the man who can’t be moved. And maybe you won’t mean to, but you’ll see me on the news. And it was almost self prophesizing, because what happened was the song went huge. It’s now done over 1 billion streams. Put a roof over our heads and clothes on our back and helped us turn the world. And also the girl that I was trying to win back also seen it on the news. So it was just a really strange, amazing mini Movie of a song that is still to this day is, um. Is. Is a blessing. Um, yeah. That’s how we wrote the money can’t be moved.
