Oh my, no. So dropping my hundred year old glass door wasn’t exactly planned for this makeover. But after spending an entire year transforming this space, I spent under an hour transforming my home into a smart home with Amazon. Alexa, all you need is an Echo and a few of their compatible smart devices like light bulbs or plugs. I actually put light bulbs in all all my lights. I put smart plugs for my sconces and for all my plug in options like candle warmer and look, Alexa, turn on sconces. Okay, so good. The main thing I want to focus on, honestly, is how easy this was to set up, though. Everything connected instantly. It’s a frustration free setup. Amazon just knows what they’re doing. I’m not gonna lie, and I’ve been one to be turned off by having to install my own smart home products in the past, but Amazon made this so super simple and easy. I waited for the sun to set, and then it was time. Alexa set the vibes. Okay.
