Emergency Welding: Repairing a Fallen Pedal Before Mustang Week

As you guys saw, my pedal literally fell off, and the only way to fix it is by removing the entire pedal assembly, the clutch, master cylinder, all that stuff. Or to buy a brand new pedal. Still have to do all that. Or I can get it welded. We have a special guest, Connor, who’s actually welding it right now inside the car. Now, I actually don’t know anything about welding, so this looks intensely dangerous to me. But he said it’s not, so we’ll see. So do you have the fire extinguisher just in case? This is actually really, really hard angle though. So if Connor can get this, he actually might be a professional. Did disconnect the battery, obviously, and Connor said he wanted to try stick welding first cause it would adhere better to the paint, but if not, then we’ll have to move on to the Mig. Fortunately, as you can see, it did not work. Try with the Mig welder as well, but unfortunately the ground just wasn’t working either. Hardly any space, and you know, with a giant helmet, it makes it almost impossible to even see. Tomorrow I’m gonna attempt to remove the airbag and as much of the dash trim as possible. And I’m gonna try to attempt to use some of that extremely strong JB Weld. People said I was being dramatic, but this is not dramatic at all. You literally cannot drive the car with the clutch moving everywhere. Like that. I know I can replace this, but there’s none in stock near me, and it’ll take days for one to come, and Mustang week is in four days. Now only that, but I have a customer car to work on as well, and it needs to be done by Friday. If you have any suggestions, and have used JB Weld before for really, really strong things. I need to be bonded. Let me know which one you used. Hopefully we can get this figured out and go to Mustang Week.
