Here’s a list of what to bring with you to your wedding dress appointment. And this is coming from someone who has gone wedding dress shopping 10 times. The first things first, the people that you bring with you is so important. Really key to stick to a core group of people. I know wedding dress shopping is such a special time, and there’s so many people that you want to be there. Your mom, your sister, a best friend, your future mother in law. But I think that group should be no more than four. I know everyone’s situations is different, but I think the more people that you bring, you welcome more opinions. And I think at the end of the day, the opinion that matters the most is yours. And when you have too many opinions, it almost clouds what you actually think about the dresses. Also want to bring inspo pictures of the types of dresses or styles that you are gravitating towards or potentially want to try on. But also bring an open mind. I cannot even begin to tell you the amount of pictures that I saved on Pinterest and Instagram. But the biggest thing when it comes to wedding dress shopping, especially for the first time, is to be really open. Even if you see a dress on a hanger or on the rack that you don’t necessarily want to try on or it just looks kind of like not your vibe, try It on anyways. Because honestly, the dresses that you don’t wanna try on or you think, oh, my god, I would never wear that sometimes are the ones that surprise you. So today’s prize, you’re gonna be winning a hair care pack. Now, I’m the type of person who would much rather have my hair done than my makeup done, so this pack is very, very special to me. I will have all of the rules on how to enter on the screen as usual. And good luck. Third thing, flesh tone undergarment. This is so important. Really best to stick to neutral colored undergarments, especially if you’re trying on a dress that is mesh or a little bit see through or has cutouts. The last thing you want is like, pink or red undergarment showing through. Just stick to the neutral color or thing is so key. Even if you’re not a content creator, you are taking so many photos and videos of all of the dresses. Please bring a tripod and a portable charger. My phone was almost dead by, like, the second appointment, and if I did not have a portable charger, I would have not had any photos or videos to look back on. Sometimes our moms and our sisters aren’t the best at capturing photos. So just having a tripod there, it’s gonna be stable. You put it in the position that you want it. You’re gonna be so thankful to have that content later. Last one is one I think people forget to do. But please bring protein snacks and water. Or at least schedule lunch in between your appointments. Trying on dresses is so tiring. They’re heavy. You’re getting in and out of dresses. It’s also super emotional. I know for me personally, it was the first time that my future mother in law was meeting my side of the family. So my sisters and my mom. So having that lunch in between to talk a little bit, get a cocktail, get some food made the weekend. Please, please, please do not forget to eat something.
