Why Music Videos Are Not Worth It: A Content Creator’s Perspective

Music videos are not worth it. I know I’ve said this till I’m blue in the face, but for some reason everyone ignores me and people think it’s a really, really good idea. Let me explain this one more time why music videos are a terrible idea. If you are making a music video, it takes time, it takes energy, and usually it takes money. Because if you make a music video, where is it gonna go? You’re gonna magically put it on MTV from 1996? Probably not, no. You’re gonna put it on YouTube. You put it on YouTube and you try and compete with the likes of Mr. Beast. A music video is very unlikely gonna get shown to a gazillion people. So what do we have to do? We have to put money into it, whereas take the ego away. Make some good content on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube. If that works, you get free exposure, you get free numbers. And if you want to, you can boost it there for next to nothing and get the same, if not much better results.
