Navigating Grocery Shopping: Breaking the Poverty Mindset and Embracing Indulgence

Okay, so when it comes to content and grocery hauls, we always have dialogues with regards to how much people spend on groceries. Uh, there was a tweet that just said like spending 5 k on groceries as a single person is wild. And we always have those discussions when you watch influencers do grocery hauls and someone was like, you know, fillets and ricotta cheese and all that stuff, which made me realise I genuinely have a poverty mindset when it comes to groceries. Like I grocery shop, you know, I don’t spoil myself. Like when it comes to groceries, I’m not gonna buy prawns to cook at home. Like I buy basic necessities. And I think it’s cause I grew up like that and even though I probably could afford to buy like steak and stuff, I leave that for restaurants. But what is your mentality when it comes to grocery shop? Like grocery shopping, do you leave those luxury type of meals for special occasions at the restaurants and stuff? Or do you like intentionally spoil yourself and like have nice meals all the time? Because I don’t know if I need to unlearn it or not. Like I’m trying to figure out, do I need to like up my grocery budget and actually indulge and enjoy my life and my food? It’s so tricky because I’m like, no, special occasions must be special occasions, but also like, like is short. I don’t know like how much Do you spend on groceries and do you like, or do you buy those expensive cheeses and the steaks and ribs every, like, you know.
