The European Imperative: Embracing Innovation and Independence in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

We have many opportunities and obviously artificial intelligence is transforming, revolutionizing many things. But we Europeans, we are uh 1 little distant We must be lucid, the Chinese and the Americans invest much more and I think that we, Europeans, invoke 1 particular role to play because we have the capacities, the possibility to make and to exploit our model, that the main risk which is ours, is to be dependent on solution and being made of non-European standard. The day you fall into this system, you can have all the transformations in the world. You’re not totally crazy anymore because if your solutions are either American or Chinese, you can decide to regulate, you can do damage to the whole earth and I trust us. We will know how to do it collectively. But you don’t decide for yourself anymore. If you know how to build European solutions that allow us to innovate, accelerate, improve service for our populations, transform our economy, go much faster, then you can say what is allowed, forbidden, you can define 1 common.
