Step-by-Step: Cutting Cap and Straightening Leave Out for Blended Weave Look

Okay y’all, this is how I cut my cap and straighten my leave out. So first I pin my hair up so that none of the hair is in the way when I’m trying to cut my cap. And I cut the caps one at a time. I don’t do them both at the same time, just to make sure everything is cut, like, neatly and carefully. I take my time during this part just to make sure I don’t accidentally cut the weave or my real hair. Once I’m done with that, then I move on to straightening my leave out. Here I’m taking down all the braids that I had in here. I’m blow drying my weave out again until it is as straight as possible. I already used heat protectant the first time I blow dried, so I didn’t use it again after that. I made sure my part was super straight before I started flat ironing. Before straightening I use the Amika Anti Humidity Spray and then I use the Chi iron guard heat protector and then last I use the camera silk and emus. I use this on my leave out and the bundles and then I just brushed everything through before straightening. I straighten my hair in very small sections and I use the temperature 4:50, but use the temperature that works for you. I only did one pass to straighten my leave out, and then a second pass wasn’t until I curled my Hair. My leave out was already looking blended with the weave. And then I just did the same exact thing on the other side, and this is how it looked when I finished straightening. Watch the next part to see how I cut layers in my hair.
