Color Blocking Hair Tutorial: Blush and Cupid Technique

My name is Samantha. I’m a DFW hair stylist. I’m gonna show you guys how we did this color blocking today. So first we got blush and Cupid. And I did a lot more blush than Cupid. I kind of just measure with my heart, so don’t ask me what the formula was. I literally mix them together until I liked what I saw on my little napkin. That is just a little trick that we use just to kind of help us look at the transparency of the colour and to see how dark it’s really gonna be. And then right here, we just sectioned out everything else that was gonna be with the dark. I always like to do that first just so I can get it clipped up out of the way like this. And then everything else that’s left out, we just do the pink on it. So we can either over direct it to get it to not hit anything that’s dark just cause we don’t want it to stain. Or you can always use a foil. But here Drea was very precise with her application, so she didn’t have to use the foil. So, you know, kudos to Drea. So then we just left this on for about 25, 30 minutes and then this was our end result. Hope you guys like it. Okay, bye.
