I’m gonna start a new series on my channel for advice from a seasoned couponer. So this is gonna be part 1. Hopefully it helps you guys save you some money, some headache, some frustration. Things that I’ve had to learn the hard way over the past six years from my couponing journey. My first bit of advice is gonna be don’t do every single deal that you see. When you first start couponing and you’re seeing all the deals and you’re seeing all the savings, you get super excited. I’ve been there. I bet you 95% of the people watching this video are like, yeah, I’ve done that. I’ve fallen into that trap. Don’t do that. At the end of the day, you wanna save your actual money on products that you are actually going to use. Now if you plan to resell the products, that is a completely another story and I’ll add more advice on that in some later parts. But think about it this way. Yes, it might be 80% off or it’s on clearance or something like that. But think about it this way, you have a budget, or hopefully you have a budget that you are sticking to. Say that product is only $2. At the end of the day, it’s gonna be a product that’s gonna sit on your shelf, take up space, and that $2 could have gone towards your financial goal. I started couponing so that I could pay off my Debt. And I paid off $11,000 of debt by saving my real money and doing it the right way. So think about it this way. Whatever your why is, say you wanna pay off debt. Think about the weight that’s gonna be lifted and the stress that’s gonna be gone once that debt is gone. So now, what’s more important? Paying off your debt or whatever your financial goal is, or getting this product for $2, which is 80% off that’s gonna sit on your shelf? When you put things in perspective that way, it’s gonna help you make the right decision 10 out of 10 times. Let me know in the comments what kind of questions you have and other things that you need advice on so I can continue to make content in the series for you.
