Creating a Summery Candle at Artplay London: A Step-By-Step Guide

Come and make a candle with me at Artplay London. First I’m going to melt the soy wax in the wax melter to about 45 degrees and this takes about 10 to 15 minutes. I’m then going to look through my materials, take one of the wicks and stick my Wick onto the double sided sticker and stick it firmly into the middle of my amber jar. I’m now going to look through the scents. I’ve decided to go with honey and sweet mint with eucalyptus today to have a summery feel. I’m then gonna pour the hot wax and check the temperature. It’s cooling down nicely. Then gonna look through my dried flowers, see what I’m gonna work with today. They are looking beautiful. I was then looking through the beads and I was considering going for a bright summer, but I reconsidered. I’m gonna stick with cute and floral. So next step is to pour in the hot wax, um, and then pour in the scent. Honey and eucalyptus all mixed up nicely. Then gonna stick on the centralised stick to make sure the Wick stays upright and wait for it to dry. So I’m now gonna place on my dried flowers and my petals, um, and sprinkle on a little bit of lavender. Gonna add a little bit of sparkle as well. So I think I’m gonna go for foresty green kind of sparkle and then gonna stick on my label and I am done.
