This is former Orlando Magic GM Rob Hennegan, and he was a sleeper agent for the Thunder the entire time. There have been a lot of bad trades in NBA history, but one of the worst ones ever is this atrocity made by Rob Henigan with the Thunder. And he traded Oladipo, Subonis, and Eliasova for Ibaka. Just terrible. And this trade never made any sense for the magic. They weren’t even a playoff team. But Oladipo was only 23 and he showed a ton of potential. Sabonis was the 11th overall pick. Why would they give up so much potential for Ibaka who maybe a contender could use? And conveniently enough, it was the perfect time for the Thunder to get young talent because KD just left to the Warriors. So they could use young talent to help them rebuild. Which is what the magic should have been doing. So why would he make this trade? I don’t know, but here’s what I do know before Rob Henigan became the GM of the magic, he worked for the Thunder for four years. After he got fired in 2017 for his atrocities against basketball, he went back to the Thunder where he is still to this day.
