I was today years old when I found out king and super King duvets are meant to go in the covers horizontally. Be careful how you interpret that one. Double duvets are square. They’re long and they’re wide. They’re completely square. King size duvets are 2 20 by 2 30. They are 10 cm, which is about that much wider than they are long. Super Kings are. I think they’re 2 90. Anyway, more to the point, some duvets the stitching goes from the top of the that way, and some duvets it goes that way. So when you say goes horizontally, it doesn’t mean the lines of stitching. It means that for sizes bigger than a double, the duvet itself is wider than it is long. And the way you find that out is really simple. You get hold of one corner of the duvet and you one corner of the duvet, you hold it there and you fold it that way, and you’ll find out which is the longest size. And if you’re not sure, and you’ll forget, Mark top and bottom with marker pen on the duvet, because some of them, like I said, if you miss, if you want, if you mistranslate that, you’ll think they’re talking about lines of stitching. And indeed some do. They do. They do the stitching across the bed, but others the same size dovey still do them up and down the bed. So be careful how you interpret that one.
