Songwriting in the Night: Finding Unity through Music

And I often I wake up in the night with songs. They just come through. Yeah. And, um, in Taiwan, I woke up with this song, we pray, ready to go at, like, three in the morning. And, um, I was like, I don’t know if I wanna get up, but I didn’t. And it just. This sounds a bit cryptic, but it sort of said who needed to be on it. And the idea of the song was I was looking at, you know, there’s so much conflict and fighting everywhere and people disagreeing. And I was thinking, well, all of us are praying for the same things, really, right? Most people want the same good things for them and the people they love. And I think that’s what the song came through about. And so it felt immediately like, oh, we should ask a few different people to do different versions of this to sort of highlight what it’s about.
