Comparing the Chevrolet Equinox EV to the Gas-Powered Equinox

A Chevy now sells two different equinoxes. Behind me is an Equinox EV. As the name suggests, it’s all electric. This one has all wheel drive, 288 horsepower, 285 miles of range, and a sticker price of $50,000. Shocking, I know. Now Chevy claims that a 35,000 dollar Equinox EV will be launching later this year. That model will have front wheel drive, 213 horsepower, but over 300 miles of range. We have yet to see though if Chevy will come through on that promise where other Oems have failed. But for the specs this car offers, at its fifty thousand dollar sticker price, that’s pretty comparable to the competition. Like Ford Mustang Mach e. I also prefer this interior over the competition with a 17.7 inch infotainment system, these red and black seats, physical climate controls. Thank you Chevrolet. And Super Cruise. But if electrification isn’t your jam, fear not cause Chevy still sells a gas Equinox, which has also been completely redesigned this year. Now it doesn’t look anything like this Equinox EV, favoring a more rugged and upright design. But it is a massive improvement over the outgoing model. And it starts at just $28,000. So that’s why.
