here’s a controversial question are you able to separate the art from the artist based on the artist themselves and who they are as a person I can it with some caveats one if they’ve done some horrible crime and were convicted and found guilty of it then no I’m not gonna support them example that famous painter from the 1940s that created those focus camps or a clown that might have created some art in the past that might have also been a serial killer this is gonna be hypocritical of what I just said but I will support the band even if the lead singer did some really bad things Prime Example would be the band as they lay dying lead singer may have put out a hit on his wife and was found guilty of that but the band members have nothing to do with it so I’m gonna support their past music and the current music if they continue to work with that person I know or people that like to implement their own personal beliefs and values into their art that I don’t agree with Tom McDonald for example and yes if you like that artist I will judge you as a person because your beliefs reflect their beliefs so that’s just who you are but let’s hear from you stitch this leave a comment let me know why you want to support this or why you would
