Hello, my name is Hamza Yassin. I’m a wildlife cameraman and I want to take this time to quickly tell you about one of my favourite poems, if not my favourite poem of all time. It was at school and it was one of these poems that you know when you sat in class and the teacher’s teaching about something and you’re like, I’m never gonna learn this. This one stuck. And it’s called Half Caste by John A. Gard. And it’s a beautiful poem about mixed race children and what to call them kind of thing. And one of the little phrases like, what do you mean when you say half cast? Do you mean when you mix a white key with a black key, you get half cast? Symphony. Explain yourself, man, when you say half cast. It’s a phenomenal poem. Look it up, I think you’ll enjoy it.
