So my dad is cleaning his CL500. Um, gorgeous, gorgeous car. 12 years old and absolutely timeless. Sorry, 20 years old. 20 years old. I don’t know why you said 12. My favourite part of this car is um, this rear angle. So this light all the way up until here. And then you get this. This section here with the rear, uh. The rear screen. I think this is just immaculate. Another really cool part about this car is this over engineered door hinge so um, allow maximum door opening so you can get inside easily. Just look, look at the engineering in here. It is just crazy. This hinge is absolutely insane. And then you have the interior which is um, of the time. Uh, 2 thousand and four that is. But um, these are the actual seats from the Maybach 57 and 62. When it was launched, the car had a loads of um, high tech features that have just started really trickling down into cars recently. So things like adaptive cruise control, heated and cooled seats, memory seat. Even had sat nav built in. Um, hydraulic suspension. Definitely ahead of its time and uh, definitely one of the most underrated Mercedes Benz cars of all time. Just look at this hinge when it closes. Ah, mirror is a bit janky that. We need to fix that. When I say we, he. This is the V8 model with the 5 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine. Not as Much power as you get out of those engines today. Technology was different then. And also this car is, um, built to be a cruiser, not a, um. Not a. A. A race car. But, yeah, here’s the. The CR five hundred. I love this car.
