Rookie Year Memories: Facing MJ with the Wizards

My rookie year was MJ’s first year back in the NBA with the Wizards. Oh, yeah. We played against them. Fourth game of the season, Eric Williams get hurt. Second game of the season, small forward. So they start me, uh, and I. And I gotta guard MJ. Paul. Paul Pierce. Like, man, I’m gonna get him in the fourth quarter. I need you to give him the first three. Like, look, look. I’m like, I. I bet. So, uh, man, we got out there first off, 20, MJ talking stuff to each other on the tip, like, you know what I’m saying? So MJ tell Paul, I gotta come all the way back to the NBA just to. Just to get a pickup game with you, just to get a run with you. So they all going back and forth the whole game, but I’m like, man, y’all gotta chill, you know? I’m saying, like, I’m the. I’m the one got to guard this man. What did he do that game? What did MJ do? And I tell him he finished with, like, 30, 32. Uh, what you do? We end up getting. I had 16 and 10. Oh, yeah. Okay. Solid, solid, solid, solid, solid. Playing with Jordan, Paul, and they prime. That’s solid. Yeah. I’m surprised you got. You. I’m surprised you got enough looks to get 16 with them, too. Right, right, right.
