The Dangers of the Chase Money Glitch: A Cautionary Tale of Financial Crime and Consequences

So a so called chase money glitch has gone viral on TikTok and uh, it’s fully just crime. People have been claiming that it’s basically a way to just get completely free money, like huge amounts of money. But of course nothing in this life is free, especially money. But that hasn’t stopped people trying it. It’s not a glitch. May have seen this, it went super viral. Basically people have figured out that you can do a thing where you write yourself a massive cheque and then you deposit it with the mobile app and then you quickly go and run to an ATM and take the money out before the cheque is processed. Basically this is a crime. Old kiting. It’s actually one of the oldest financial crimes. And in the United States, where people are doing this glitch, it can carry up to a one million dollar fine or 30 years in prison. They do not mess around about this stuff. Don’t do this. And anyway chase the bank cottoned onto it pretty fast and uh, people have been losing huge amounts of money and probably will end up doing some time or at least spending some time in court cause it is not good. Moral of the story is there is no such thing as a free money glitch. And if you’re gonna mess with anyone, don’t pick a major multinational bank because they do not have a sense of humour. The main reason they don’t have A sense of humour is because it’s a. A financial crime. I mean, I don’t think you were gonna do this, but again, don’t do this.
