Title: Controversy Surrounding Jason Dominguez’s Development in the Yankees Organization

The Yankees are single handedly destroying the lone remaining decent prospect in their organization. Twenty one year old Jason Dominguez spent the entire offseason recovering from Tommy John surgery and finally returned in mid may. Upon returning, he played in four A ball games, hit 3 85, was sent to Double A where he had a near 1,000 OPS in 10 games with four home runs, eight RBIs, then was sent to Triple A where he spent the majority of this season. Dominguez has proven one thing so far he’s ready. The switch hitter has played in 37 games at Triple A, hitting 3:06 with the 8:28 OPS, has seven doubles, 14 stolen bases, five home runs, and 18 Rbis. The Yankees made their first questionable call with a youngster, calling him up to be an extra man in the Little League World Series game versus the Tigers to face lefty Tarik Scobee, who will likely win the Cy Young Award, to then just send them right back down to Triple A after the game. Today’s rosters expanded and the Yankees did not call up Dominiquez, with manager Aaron Boone saying the decision was certainly in the conversation. He also said if he’s up in the big leagues, the Yankees would want to play him every day. So you’re telling me you’d rather run out a player and Alex Verdugo Who’s coming off a month of August where he had 2:04 with a 5:50 OPS over a player who showed you a glimpse of his potential in an eight game stand last season. At this point, any player is an upgrade from the production for dugout has given you in left field. The front office often speaks about having a quote unquote championship caliber roster, yet with Dominguez being held in Triple A, the team doesn’t even have their best 28 players in the big leagues.
