If you wake up every day struggling to put your makeup on and not feeling confident, then you need a makeup lesson. No one ever taught you how to properly do your makeup, so no wonder it’s a struggle. You need to know what brushes to use, what products to use and exactly how to use them. I record all of my makeup lessons on my clients phone so they can go home and practice and they’ll have all the details right in their phone. This is my client Jasmine and today she’s having a private makeup lesson. My makeup lessons are usually around 90 minutes and she’s gonna learn exactly how to do her makeup, what brushes to get, how to use them, what colours, what products, everything. I’m also making sure that Jasmine understands exactly where to put these products because a lot of times when people don’t know how to do their makeup, it’s a combination of all of this. She also wanted to learn how to apply false lashes, so I’m showing her the velour self stick lashes. I really think that these are the best option for an easy way to put on lashes at home all by yourself. These already have adhesive so you don’t even need to get glue. You just put them up underneath your actual lashes. They’re very easy to apply and they look really natural. I also want her to have a really good understanding what brushes she had a Foundation brush that just wasn’t meant for foundation. So I’m showing her the BK Beauty 1:01 brush and I’m showing her exactly how to use that and the concealer brush. Jasmine is going for a really soft, everyday polished makeup look. So it’s really important for her to use the right amount of product and the right colour. So we want to use a lot of neutrals, soft colours so that this isn’t too overwhelming for her face. I do a lot of makeup lessons and one of the things that a lot of my clients do is they do bring the wrong colours. So their blush could be a little bit too dark, a little bit too light, and that can throw off the whole makeup look. One of the main things that my clients don’t do is setting their face with translucent powder. So I show Jasmine exactly what brushes to use and products to use to properly set her face. Now just because this is a soft everyday makeup look does not mean that we wanted to be boring. So I’m using some of the cookie highlighter and showing her where to put this on her skin to make her skin look incredible. And she will get a lot of compliments on her skin after she does this.
